The F2A category is for the spouse and unmarried children under 21 of a Lawful Permanent Resident (Green Card holder). This route allows eligible family members to apply for permanent residence through a family-sponsored petition.
Who this route is for
This category may apply if:
- You are the spouse of a lawful permanent resident, or
- You are an unmarried child under 21 of a lawful permanent resident
- The petitioner holds valid permanent resident status
- A qualifying family relationship can be shown

- A legally valid marriage or parent–child relationship
