Is Subclass 188 open for new applications?
BIIP (including major Subclass 188 streams) was closed to new applications from 31 July 2024.
Can existing Subclass 188 holders still apply for Subclass 888?
Yes—Subclass 888 is the permanent stage for eligible 188 holders who meet the requirements for their stream.
Are Subclass 891 and 892 still available?
Both are listed under repealed visas and were closed to new applications on 22 March 2025 (applications lodged earlier may still be processed).
What usually causes delays in business/investor cases?
